The Power of Connecting with Like-Minded Professionals

By Bethany Foyt

When I joined The Partner Channel in 2013, I knew my values aligned perfectly with the company’s mission from the start. I’ve always had a passion for community and am proud that The Partner Channel strives to offer that up in every resource we provide.Community Quote

This is especially the case with our new offering, The Genius Series. The six students we have participating in this year’s class have already amazed me beyond all my expectations. Even though we’re not at the same event or in the same room, connecting virtually is giving us all a new-found sense of community in the often crazed and impersonal world we live in daily.

Lindy Belley from Integrity Data shared this after last month’s class: I seriously get a boost of energy after we have our meetings. I finally had the desire to put creative planning and thought into the webinar follow up campaign I’ve been mentally working on for months. Felt like I accomplished something useful and forward-thinking.”

Kaitlyn McKendry from Vicinity Manufacturing said it all after our first class: “The small-group setting of the sessions and sense of community that The Partner Channel is fostering among participants is invaluable. For me personally, the program is offering outside guidance and encouraging lasting connections as I work to move forward and build a career.”

The power behind this determined group of professionals is so exciting to witness and I look forward to six more wonderful months with them to tackle topics like marketing budgets, content marketing, event management, marketing tracking, and more.

Interested in participating in upcoming classes? Shoot me a note at Bethany@thepartnerchannel.com and I’ll add you to my list!

Kaitlyn CROP I’m a beach vacationer, the best beach I have ever been to is St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Favorite place to travel would ultimately be any new city—something new to learn, explore and appreciate. Not sure it is the best—but a one of my regular favorites is a local dish called “Angry Muscles” in white wine butter sauce with chopped fresh jalapeno’s and thick cut bacon. Basically anything with Spice and Bacon works for my pallet. Pope Francis, Amy Schumer, Hilary Clinton

Workplace 2.0: The New Reality

By Pam McGee

This Throwback Thursday article is from the Fall 2013 issue of The Partner Channel Magazine. Catch the most current issue for more great sales, marketing, and leadership tips!

It’s not about workspaces, hierarchy, benefits, pay, vacation time, promotions, or even titles anymore. The new workplace is different; however, different doesn’t mean deficient. Think about it – the world of work has access to more information 24/7, more diversity, more technology, more college graduates, more flexibility to work virtually, more generations in the workplaces, global span and local depth, broad and viral communication channels like social media, tele-presence workers, green and sustainability expectations (it’s no longer an option in most cases), highly educated customers, shifting healthcare needs and provisions, different buying habits and patterns (for heaven’s sake, more cars are bought on carsoup.com than at the local car dealer), on-demand TV (commercials are a thing of yesterday), on-demand information (who reads the paper…when you want information, you get it, you don’t let someone else determine it), and employees that are just not like they used to be or maybe just have a different way of thinking about their role in your company. With all that opportunity, how does a company successfully drive company performance, exceed customer expectations, and create a satisfied and engaged workforce?
